After just finishing another excellent practice session at the range to start the season off it made me wonder why anyone would wait to dust their clubs off to play a round of golf when they have little to no idea what kind of golf swing they are going to go play with. Consider this… the average round of golf takes about four and a half hours to play while hitting a bucket of balls with focused goal oriented practice in mind takes about forty-five minutes to an hour on the range. If you were to postpone that first round of golf for the season, and trade it in for even four sessions on the driving range, how much better would your score be for that first round of golf for the season? Why not consider a visit to your friendly neighborhood Golf Professional so that you start your practice sessions off with the right swing changes in mind and not try to perfect your ‘bad habits’ to start the season off. So now, after consideration it’s time to ask yourself if you really want to have a better golf game this year? If your answer is yes, give me a call and I’ll see you on the range.
Play well, Dave Lengyel CPGA
